This partly shows that as long as you stick to your Super(ior) System, knowledge and believe in your skill you will eventually win the day. Now you may look like a bit of a stupid cunt sometimes, like the Jews did marching round the City of Jericho in the heat and making a lot of noise, but stick to the plan long term and you will be a winner.
But its not just about sticking to your system its about learning and adapting to each new player, table and the changes in the blinds.
There they were, the people of Jericho. Happy and safe in their city of jericho, laughing at the Jews outside marching around their walls, making a frightful racket. Lugging that bloody box of theirs around, stupid cunts.
But the people of Jericho did not adapt to the situation, the new players with their new strategies and plays. They paid the ultimate price for not thinking the new information or tactics through. They thought because their old strategy and play had always worked in the past it would continue to work.
The Poker Bible study message here is adapt or die. Keep learning and thinking about each and every hand that you are dealt. Although there may appear to be no danger in the situation you have faced a 1000 times before poker is always changing, can throw up a new situation against your cities walls every now and again.
